Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Slushy, operated by Coconut Tree Labs ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. This is a plain-language draft for our pilot; a reviewed version will replace it before public launch.

1. Slushy never charges authors

Slushy will never charge authors to reach agents. There are no reading fees, submission fees, or paid placement. Any person who asks you for money in exchange for representation or consideration on Slushy is violating these terms. Report them.

2. Accounts and roles

• You must be at least 18 to use Slushy.
• Authors may create pitch cards for work they own or have the right to pitch.
• Agents must represent their affiliation truthfully. Agent accounts are verified manually and may be rejected or suspended at our discretion.
• One person, one account. Do not share logins.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to your pitch cards, pages, and manuscripts. You grant us only the limited license needed to store and display them to the people you've chosen to share them with (matched agents) and to operate the service. We do not train models on your manuscripts, sell them, or share them outside a match.

4. Conduct

• No soliciting payment from authors for any service through Slushy.
• No harassment, impersonation, scraping, or attempts to access other users' files.
• Agents may not redistribute manuscripts outside their agency without the author's consent.

5. Termination

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, especially any agent who asks authors for money. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@getslushy.app.

6. Disclaimers

Slushy is provided as-is during the pilot. We don't guarantee requests, representation, or outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us, which for authors and agents is zero.

7. Changes

We'll post updates here and email account holders about material changes.
